Let's See How This Plays Out In The Media

I'm not under any circumstances going to condone this, I'm not even going to comment on it. I just want to see how the media covers this story Obama Effigies Strung Up in Kentucky and Indiana

Right off the mark, Fox News is showing different pictures.

This is how Fox showed the Sarah Palin effigy:

This is Fox showing the rock below the Barack Obama effigy:

Notice any difference?

Sorry folks, i ain't gettin' it.

If you hadn't told me that was an Obama effigy i wouldn't have known.

What gives?

MK,
For political correctness, they wouldn't show the Obama effigy. This is partly my fault I should have explained the picture better. Sorry

LOL...I was scratching my head too, Chuck. But your point is clear. I wonder if someone threw together an Obama effigy to deflect attention from the Sarah Palin one. To kind of 'even things out'. I wouldn't put it past the cunning left.

I also wrote about this yesterday, I can't think of anything much more disgusting that this!

To me, making effigies is not only offensive, but its lazy. There are better, more clever ways to illustrate displeasure with someone. Any idiot can hang a doll with a wig, I blame the education system.

Someone in Ohio did do that, citing an effigy in NY as the cause.

For either side to do this is only a negative reflection of that side.

NBC showed the incident with Gov. Palin. Apparently two guys thought it would be funny.

As for the Sen. Obama effigy, I'd be the secret service will investigate.

One good think may come out of this: the idea of hate crimes sort of go away....

For the record, I do not condone this, I think it's disgusting no matter who it is. Further, I agree with Nancy in that at it's most basic, it lacks imagination. It would be nice to see hate crimes go away Randy. I have always been against them. Murder, assault, etc is a crime irregardless of intent. A white man beating a black man is no more offensive than a white man beating a white man. Thanks for the replies.

Oh right, thanks for clearing that up Chuck.
