The Quote Of The Week

What else could the quote of the week but his priceless gem from Barrack Hussein Obama saying that people who do not want to pay more in taxes are selfish. Of course Joe Biden would say they are also unpatriotic. Source.

"John McCain and Sarah Palin they call this socialistic," Obama continued. "You know I don’t know when, when they decided they wanted to make a virtue out of selfishness.

For this quote, I give Obama the Turkey:

It's selfish to decide what to do with what you have earned but entirely selfless to do nothing and still receive what others have worked for. Talk about topsy turvy thinking!!!

I'm not sure about the turkey..it's such an American bird, you know?
How about a ....... snake. Some kind of SNAKE!

WHAT a quote, Chuck. MAN. And WHY did nobody catch Obama telling O'Reilly that it's NEIGHBORLY to give money to your neighbor if you have more? NEIGHBORLY!! Oh, brother. WE know it's NEIGHBORLY, that's why we Republicans help others.......why's it NEIGHBORLY to be told to do it by your gov't? Yikes!!

It's often bandied about by angry leftists that those who don't want to pay extra tax are selfish. The reality is vastly different.

The rest of the western world has gone down the socialist route to some degree or other. Yet Americans who don't pay as much tax as the rest of us, give so much more and here's an even bigger surprise, most of them are from the red states.

Another thing, the likes of Obama tell us there many like them who want to give their money away to the state, so how come they need to be forced to do it. Perhaps Obama's never heard of them, but there these things called charities. All the angry, wealthy leftists can give all the money they want to, to the charities of their choice, who by the way will spend the money far more efficiently than any government out there.

But then the poor and destitute aren't the real concern for these fascists, you folks working hard and getting rewarded for it is what grates with them. You keeping YOUR money and choosing yourself how to spend it, is what grates with them.

Speaking of turkeys, I guess by that same logic, a turkey could be considered selfish for running from the axe at Thanksgiving.
It's not enough for you to obey Big Brother, you must love Big Brother.

Why is it that people are against paying taxes but not against borrowing from future income to pay for current expenses? That's redistrobution of wealth.

Why is it that when a Democrat talks about "spreading the wealth around" everyone goes nuts with calling him a socialist? But when a Republican administration socializes wall street and nationalizes the banking system not one word is said?

Oh, I am glad Obama is going to be our next President and I know that I will pay for my happiness with additional taxes, but the only reason he is in the position that he is in is because of the current administration and their incompetence.

I HATE paying taxes but I would rather my money be spent on Americans in America rather than on "democracy" for Iraqi's (heck...if they wanted democracy so bad they could have gotten it themselves just like we did) and on bailing out fat cats on Wall Street...

So, since everyone and their brother has gotten a piece of the big ol' American pie it should be no surprise that the rest of the deadbeats run off and now want a piece of it for themselves....

I own a small business (here is proof: http://turneroriginal.myshopify.com) and I know that unemployment and consumer spending effect my business alot more than taxes do. So, raise my taxes...its just the cost I have to pay to stay in business...

I want a government that runs like I run my business..if we don't have the money we don't buy it!

Papa Frank, well spoken

Z, I wasa trying to go with a bird theme, in retrospect the buzzard would have been better

MK, it is pure and simple class warfare. I am actually all for the wealthy paying their fair share, the problem is that this is not what we are talking about. You cannot convince me that someone should be paying a higher tax rate for the simple transgression of being successful. I feel they should pay the same rate as me.

Aurora, great point, I had not thought of it that way

Tao, first, I am not a fan of the Wall street bailout and agree with your likening it to socilaism so do not paint me with that brush. As far as paying for expenses, I am not in favor of borrowing for them, I am for slashing the expenses.

As far as Obama being in the current mess because of the current administration, don't worry he's already planning on using that excuse to raise taxes on considerably more people than he claims he is planning too. It's Bush's fault, don't waste my time. There is more than enough evidence that Obama, Bill Clinton, Barney Frank, Christopher Dodd, etc get to shoulder more than their fair share of the blame for our current mess. At some point you guys are going to get a different tune, this "It's all George Bush's fault" has been played way too much.

As far as the people who have gotten a piece of the American pie, it's called earning it. They did not work their asses off to pay for someone who sits on the couch all day and plays Grand Theft Auto, once they get up at 3 in the afternoon that is.

Nancy, thanks. I have decided to make it a weekly blog. It's a win-win, I've always wanted to do it and I like easy blogs on the weekends. Fortunately with politicians, they make it easy.

and since when did stealing money from hard-working Americans become a virtue Obama? and since when did rewarding slothfullness become a virtue Obama?

Chuck, I don't blame Bush...I blame "ALL OF THE ABOVE!" My only point is that Republicans are no better that Democrats when it comes to fiscal issues. I give Clinton credit for cleaning up welfare, cutting big government, and getting us to the point of fiscal sanity. I blame him for Nafta, and a few national security issues.

But I do not believe that National Security and international intervention are the same thing. I personally think we need to keep more of our troops at home and protect ourselves rather than running all over the world spreading democracy and capitalism to all the poor little folks...

Iran has always been and always will be a bigger threat to the Middle East than Iraq ever was. Pakistan is not a country we can trust nor are they our allies...these folks got nukes!

BUT, our national security needs to be updated for the 21st century...I do not believe that America needs to pay for the security of the world when the other governments do not pay for the security of their own people. We pay to defend Europe and their citizens enjoy better health care, the same or higher standard of living, and a whole host of other socialized benefits because we pay for their national security.

I did not work my butt off all these years to fund the Iraq folly nor the Wall Street Bailout.

If this country wants to burn money then throw it at Americans and at least they will spend it in America.

Instead of building schools and infrastructure in Iraq lets work on our own infrastructure...
