What Kind Of A Person Do We Have In The White House?

There has been a lot of talk about Wanda Syke's comments at the White House Correspondents Dinner and there should be a discussion, the comments were disgusting.

I think though that we are having the wrong conversation.

What we should be talking about is the fact that the President of the United States was sitting front and center laughing at her wish that Rush Limbaugh die a horrible and lingering death.

The comments Sykes made, while repulsive, are the remarks of a B-list comedian. She's an idiot, who cares what she thinks?

The President should be a different matter.

Shouldn't we at least expect our President to possess a little class? Shouldn't we expect him to take offense at such a horrendous joke? Shouldn't we expect him to show a little shock or dismay at such a crass statement? At the very least shouldn't we be able to expect him to come out later and say the comments were uncalled for and do not represent the views of his administration?

The answer to all of these questions is, of course, yes. And naturally we do expect these things of our President.

The dismaying part is that Obama showed himself wanting last night.

So, I ask the question again. Just what kind of a person do we have in the White House?

what kind of person? The type who'd tell Americans how FUNNY it is that Rahm Emanuel has trouble saying DAY after the word MOTHER.........

the inference sucked the air out of me as I watched. THIS IS MY PRESIDENT?

The person in the White house represents the worst of America and its political correctness. He represents everything that is wrong with the bias, bigotry, unfairness, and discrimination called affirmative action and its protected classes, disadvantaged classes, and racial profiling.

Ther has never been a less qualified president.

Just another one of your typical hateful liberal.

0bama is on tape laughing at the stupid jokes. Any condemnation from him over the jokes would be insincere.

Oh don't get me started... This last event with that toilet mouthed idiot was the last straw.

So much for his pledge to govern for all Americans ey.

So hussein wants Rush dead, dream on ya kenyan commie, you and your leftist lickspittles!

"Just what kind of a person do we have in the White House?"

Isn't it obvious, a morally-bankrupt, America-hating, Arab-ass kissing, kenyan communist.

Excellent post, Chuck.

Obama is a vile person under a thin veneer.

Wanda Sykes was an inappropriate choice for the event.

You got to be freaking kidding me! This joke although in bad taste caused no one, especially Rush Limbaugh any harm. In fact his ratings was through the roof yesterday in anticipation of his response.

Yeah Obama smiled at the joke. I have at plenty of poor taste jokes and regretted it after wards. Like I said it was wrong for him to do it, but to condemn him for it? no.

Talk about no class, what criticism did you give W. when he joked about WMD's not being found in Iraq? His joke out of his own mouth was wrong. That one did not come from a comdeian, he said it.

Wasn't the whole reason we went to war in Iraq and so far have lost over 4,000 American lives is because of the WMD's?

So the reason why American's are dying is something to joke about?

But Obama was the one with no class.

We talk about hypocrisy all the time Chuck, what is this on the part of conservatives then?

Take Care

Do you remember the dinner when Bush joked about not finding any weapons of mass destruction, while our men and women were in harms way and dying everyday for his personal war??? That is trillions of times worse then any stupid joke Wanda said! Get real you neocons!!

This is who our president is. He's a vindictive, self centered, autocrat want-to-be.

What kind of man do we have in the WH? We have a prez who's war on achievement policies will fail a hell of a lot sooner than Rush's kidneys. Any lurking libs want to take that bet?

Great post Chuck, thank you for it.
I'm with you all the way on that.

I think it’s great that Americans are able to choose one or the other. We live in a land that you can choose a socialist hateful liberal or opposite president and, you know what, in my country and my family I think that I believe that a president should be a fiscal and social conservative who follows the Constitution. No offense to anyone out there but that’s how I was raised and that’s how I think it should be someone like Ronald Reagan. What do you think of that Perez?

Chuck said...

Z, He hired the thug, he should be able to joke about him

LomaAlta, good point

Guy, true but he could have made an attempt

Debra, welcome and thanks for stopping by. Thanks for the comment.

MK, new day in the White House, huh?

Brooke, let a joke like this be made about him

Wordsmith, idiotic was more like it

Flavor and Sue, this post was not about Bush. Do we really want to start down the classless President's road? Remember a man called William Jefferson Clinton?

I have never been clear as to why you cannot discuss an issue about Obama without bringing up Bush. We do not preface every discussion about Bush with the words, "yeah, but Clinton". You did hear he's not in office anymore right?

I know I am sounding a little more argumentive than usual but this incident was horseshit and this constant defense of him by the left and the media, no matter what he does, is wearing very thin.

Kris, agreed

Larry, good point. My money's on Rush kidneys too

Gramma, he does have a way with words

Debbie, thanks and thanks for stopping by

DaBlade, we have a right to choose our President, and some did. More importantly, we have a right to be critical of him, for now anyways.

why do conservatives always talk and reminise about Reagan?? We had 8 miserable years with the likes of Bush/Cheney, how can we not talk about the comparisons to Obama? Obama is brandnew, there isn't anything bad to say about him, but you guys can't keep your mouths shut so we'll keep comparing him to Bush.

What kind of person do we have in the White House?

The kind of person who sat through 20 years of Rev. Wright's God Damn America sermons and brought his children along.

The kind of person who gets away with calling the grandmother who basically raised his ungrateful ass as a "typical white person" - whatever that means.

The kind of person who makes fun of the Special Olympics and gets away with it.

The kind of person who is totally amused by the likes of Hugo Chavez, et al.

The kind of person who guffaws at Wanda Sykes liberal hate speech.

I'm sick of the double standard the libs impose on our society.

Sue: I don't know what country YOU were living in, but I didn't have 8miserable years with Bush/Cheney.

BO may be brand new, but there are already many bad things to say about his policies.

BTW when you rant about "us" keeping our mouths shut, that sounds an awful lot like censorship to me. Something our side would never propose to you.

DaBlade said...

Chuck- Hope you recognized my cheap Prejean imitation (or else it must have sounded pretty lame!:) Anyway, I make myself laugh. It never works when you have to explain the joke. *sigh* They can't all be gems. Keep up the good work and criticism!

Sue, maybe your stupid, I don't know. One more time slooowly, this post was not about Reagan, it was about Obama.

You don't have a defense so you have to resurrect Bush. Tell us why we are wrong about Obama, without using Bush. Try real hard, you can do it.

As far as nothing bad to say about Obama, that's just ignorant. You might get away with that shit at Kos but people here have brains.

Cube, Sue's under the influence of the kool-aid.

DaBlade, actually you nailed it. I think I was just tired last night, I had worked almost 13 hours in the ER. When I read I thought it seemed different somehow.
