Quote Of The Week

"When you read behind it, it's almost as if he's wishing that this country would be attacked again, in order to make his point."

CIA Director Leon Panetta accusing Dick Chaney of wanting the United States to suffer another terrorist attack to prove his point that the Obama administration's foreign policy is unsafe.

I'm not going to spend any time on this because it's idiotic enough to stand on it's own.

What I do find curious though is this.

"The Director does not believe the former Vice President wants an attack," CIA spokesman Paul Gimigliano said in a statement to CNN. "He did not say that. He was simply expressing his profound disagreement with the assertion that President Obama's security policies have made our country less safe. Nor did he question anyone's motives."

So the Director could make time to go sit for an interview for The New Yorker but cannot make time to clarify his remarks later?

Panetta has to send a spokesman to explain his idiotic comment, Obama has to explain Sotomayor's racist "Hispanic woman" comment for her. Can any of these people speak for themselves?

It's all posturing. Panetta is like all other libs. He was simply trying to 'fit in'.

I respect Dick Cheney for speaking his mind.

And that's all I've got to say about that (Forrest Gump).

I don't think the Obama Administration can handle the truth that our nation is less safe under their policies.

Blaming Cheney for any potential future attack looks like they're trying to cover their incompetence in advance.

They keep telling us all that they won, ... well that means it's their responsibility. We're not going to blame Vice President Cheney if we're attacked, we're going to say he was right. And we're going to blame Obama!

Chuck, I believe this was yet again all about "let the public hear it and take it like WE want them to" Anybody not looking into this heard it and decided CHeney's as bad as 'they' say he is, 'how awful', 'we knew the Bush people were monsters'.......
Panetta knows that....all of the left knows this.
very effective, usually...except Cheney's approval numbers have gone UP :-)(or, was that just before Panetta said this!?!!)

Don't try to make too much sense, you have to consider the people reading this.

The left always has to clarify when what they say becomes common knowledge.

But Chuck, that's where the problem starts.
