A Test For You

“Which of the following is an example of low-level terrorism?”

— Attacking the Pentagon

— IEDs

— Hate crimes against racial groups

— Protests

The correct answer, according to the exam, is "Protests."

This is a question from the Department of Defense from an exam used as part of it's routine training for employees.

This is the second federal department in the last few months that has indicated that it views public protests as terrorism. This is an issue we have to get on top of as a nation before we lose our constitutional rights to free speech and peaceful assembly.

Hey Chuck,

I posted on this also. So it now appears that all of those going to a tea party rally are committing a low-level act of terrorism. Crazy.

I guess with the current administration terror is in the eye of the beholder . . . or conservative.

We need to wear T-shirts to future Tea Parties: I'm proud to be a low-level terrorist!

Good gravy! This is unbelievable. Did I fall asleep in the USA and wake up in Iran?

I'm surprised that it wasn't 'conservative protests'. Because we all know that the only speech that'll actually get stifled, outlawed, etc will be christians or conservatives speech.

from patriotism to terrorism. how far we have sunk in 6 short months under Obama.

Sorry Stormin, can't blame Obama for this one.

The question has been on the questionnaire for quite some time. Liberals were the original target for that.

You know we like to protest.

I agree with all, it is outrageous and scary. I actually siding with the ACLU on something.

I think this is an across the board issue. I think the DOD did mean any protests, conservative or liberal. The real issue is how the administration deals with this. There have been members of Obama's team and Democrats in Congress that have said some concerning things about conservative protests. I do believe that if any protests are curtailed, it will not be liberal ones under this administration.

Terrorism (n): A term limited to any activity that threatens the power base or legitimacy of the left.

Though there is some merit to what FC said, I remember the jerks in Berserkly, CA "protesting" the Marine Recruitment Center... they did damage to the store front, insulted the honored officer working there and were hardly what one would consider "peaceful". Then there were the Code Pinkos flinging "artificial blood" at people on a street, supposedly protesting the War in Iraq... huge difference between peaceful protests and that shenanigans!

I'm with Chuck, as the numbers of angry Americans grows, the left wing "lack-of-commonsense" leaders will grasp at anything to suppress the freedom of the people. It doesn't serve them or the massive power grab they are trying to legislate and appoint.

Don't expect them to nail down a detailed definition of "protesters" anytime soon either. They don't have time to read the bills they are passing, why would they worry about laws that infringe on our Constitutional rights???

Chuck: My youngest is talking Air Force right now... it makes me sick to think of him serving under the Usurper-in-Chief! Not to mention my blog will have to be renamed HA-AFM!!! LOL!!! I hate what the loons on Capitol Hill are doing to this country... Sept. 12 for Freedom!

How long before the "progressive" speech police lump forums such as this in with low level terrrorism? They'll accomplish their goal by either straight out censorship or their favorite modus operandi: they'll tax the hell out of it.

Hey FC, that's an interesting equivocation you (not so) subtlely make between left wing protesters (like those listed by HoosierArmyMom) and right wing protesters, ie, tea partiers. I saw no one slinging blood and feces, exposing themselves or being confrontational in any way. Unless you consider criticizing President Obama as confrontational...which apparantly the government does.

"Low level terrorism." Is that kinda sorta like a "low yield atomic explosion?"

I once again remind my friends that idiocy is our most abundant natural resource. Let us contrive to export these, and in this process, increase our national wealth.

Shoprat, heh heh

Larry and Hoosier, be interesting to see if they crack down on the leftists protests we've been having. The ones you mention, throwing urine on attendees at the Republican National Converntion, rioting at any economic summit held, etc

Mustang, if we could only miner it
