Give Me Your Thoughts On This

The DNC has asked artists to submit videos for a new ad campaign about health care. One of the 20 videos selected as finalists has an artist painting graffiti over an American flag. Following is a debate about it on Fox News.

What do you think about it? Is the video okay? What does it's selection say about the DNC? Is this argument from the lib the dumbest argument you have ever heard?

More alarming to me is the propaganda found in the "graffiti". As usual, lefties would be hard pressed to back up with facts one damn thing in that video. It seems to be mostly scare tactics and alarmism - with the all knowing and caring guvmint as the panacea.

As for desecrating the flag: What else would we expect from the confederacy of dunces at the DNC?

Larry, I agree, the message is scary

I think it's a slap in the face to our veterans, and another reason for other countries to laugh at us. What other nation allows this kind of art? It reminds me of an artist a few years ago who put dung on a painting of the Blessed Mother.

Wouldn’t these be the same democrats who, supporting the new health bill, hired children to look at the camera and say, “I’ll probably die of leukemia in a year …” The ad is despicable, insulting to Americans who love their country and its symbols, and insulting to those who served their country in uniform … and yet none of this should surprise us. The NEA has actively supported the most disgusting ‘art’ imaginable, and now they want to transform America through art. Not to worry, NEA … Obama has already made fundamental changes to the United States of America.

Loren, the crucifix in urine, etc. It's disgusting

Anon, agreed. Now we have the NEA director calling Obama the most talented writer since Ceaser. Funny how libs always seem to look up to despots.

Chuck,

I was stunned it was chosen by the DNC as a finalist and tweeted on it yesterday. Especially shocked they would remind us of their true colors right before elections next week. It should have been in the garbage heap. How can any American be OK with this?

I continue to be disgusted by the moral decay we see promoted by Hollywood and the Liberals.

(Miss your tweets on Twitter.)

Gail, agreed. I think it speaks volumes about the DNC. I got a little burned out on Twitter. Will likely be back sometime.

While I may not agree with the ad, as a veteran I served for the right for people to speak the speech that I hate. Flag graffiti is speech and so is art. It is not ok with me personally to have a cross on every hill in san diego county, let alone Mt. Soledad, but I respect the rights of these owners to display their beliefs as they choose. If I were sensitive telling me that if I don't believe in Christ I'm not going to heaven, is the same as telling me I'm going to hell. Based on a belief that I don't hold true that can not be proven, I could be offended.

Anon, I would not ask that their right to free speech be violated. With that said, I have the right to criticize it. Further, just because something is a protected speech does not make it proper. I stand by my belief that choosing this video makes the DNC look like the anti-American group a lot of us suspect they are.

I'm surprised the asshole didn't say "racist right-wing".
