Fox Is Getting More Agressive With Fringe Media

Here's a nice slide show about stories the "other" news outlets didn't cover last year.

Nine Big Stories the Mainstream Media Missed in 2009

We all know this is true but it's still amazing to see them all in one place.

It's All Bush's Fault

"It's becoming clear that the system that's been in place for years now is not sufficiently up to date to take full advantage of the information we collect and the knowledge we have,"

Barrack Obama, Dec 29, 2009

This can clearly interpreted as "it's Bush's fault", Obama's answer to anything that has gone wrong for the last 11 months. Believe me, a lot has gone wrong in the last 11 months.

Let's look at the facts though.

-The federal government had intelligence about the Fort Hood shooter, almost the entire amount collected under Obama's watch, and they did nothing. 13 people died and 30 people were wounded.

-The federal government knew that the underwear bomber was a threat and yet he was not placed on the do not fly list. By the grace of God only was no one injured or killed.

-George Bush went 7 and half years without a terrorist attack.

It sounds to me like the Bush administration had an intelligence network set-up. The difference is, they knew how to use it.

Obama is right about one thing though, it is George Bush's fault. For leaving office and letting us suffer under this goofball and his inept staff.

Tell Me, Who Are You?

WHO's Townshend may have to register as a sex offender in Florida

Since the story of Townshend sex offender past broke nationally a week ago, which has been a subject of debate and argument, only one question matters.

Was Pete Townshend a registered sex offender in the UK from 2003 to 2008? Answer: Yes.

Well that’s that then. Sorry Pete. This precludes you from not only playing at the Super Bowl, it also stops you from entering the United States to begin with.

Since the NFL decided to hire Pete Townshend for the upcoming Super Bowl event all hell has broken loose. Child AbuseWatch, the international child prevention group, have been trying for some time to bring attention to Townshend’s sex offender status. Most notably was the Kennedy Center Awards event last year when they wrote to the organizers protesting the honoring of someone with sex offender history.

Most recently they have asked the NFL to drop Townshend from the Super Bowl. In a way they are doing the NFL a favor. How? When the family values groups get hold of this they’re going to rip the NFL and their sponsors apart. It could indeed prove to be an incredibly expensive mistake on the NFL’s part to not read more than Townshend publicists take on Pete’s past when they were planning the half time show.

Another national advocacy group, Protect Our Children, headed by Kevin Gillick has taken the NFL protest a step further; two steps actually. They have made a lot of noise with the Immigration and Naturalization Department and ICE begging to ask how a registered sex offender, with criminal record, has been given free reign to enter the US.

U.S. immigration law says authorities will deny entrance to “Aliens convicted of, and those who admit having committed a crime involving moral turpitude (or an attempt or conspiracy to commit such a crime).” Townshend admitted to having broken the law in his search for child pornography. ‘How he has been given access to the U.S. remains a mystery or perhaps it’s another demonstration of celebrity privilege,’ Mr. Gillick said.

The second aspect of Protect Our Children’s campaign has a definitely more local sting in its tail. A letter has been sent to Florida Attorney General McCullom, demanding that Townshend comply with Florida law, specifically Florida Statute 775.21, which applies to anyone with a sex offender background.

They have asked that Townshend be taken into custody upon his reentry into Florida so that the provisions of FS775.21 may be applied – Sexual Offenders and Predators (see link below). This would include the requirement to register with local police and provide fingerprint, mug-shot and D.N.A. samples as required by law.

For my part, I say good for these people. We have enough sex offenders here already without importing them.

In my mind this is nothing more than just another celebrity getting away with whatever they want because of who they are. (Pun intended).

We have Roman Polanski thinking that since he hasn't been caught raping a thirteen year old girl in over 30 years he should be absolved.

Leave Pete Townshend where he is, Florida's children have been preyed on enough recently.

What Do You Think About This?

There are new stories of unrest in Tehran. It has been assumed that the protests have never really stopped since this summer's "election" but news from inside Iran is spotty at best.

Report: Iranian forces, demonstrators clash

TEHRAN, Iran (AP) - Iranian security forces beat protesters in central Tehran on Saturday, a sign of mounting tensions ahead of planned opposition rallies to mark a religious festival and the death of a dissident cleric a week ago, a reformist Web site said.

The Rah-e-Sabz site said forces, including the elite Revolutionary Guard and the paramilitary Basijis, used tear gas and pepper spray in an attempt to disperse demonstrators, and broke the windows of cars that were honking horns in protest.

It said protests occurred in at least three areas: Imam Hossein Square, Pol-e-Choobi and Ferdowsi Square.

The report could not be independently confirmed because the Iranian government has banned foreign media from covering opposition protests.

So this is today's question:

What, if anything, should Obama do about the protests?

Should he ignore them as none of our business?

Should he give clandestine assistance to the opposition in hopes of them overthrowing the ruling government?

Should he openly offer assistance in an outright attempt to overthrow the government?

Finally, using a more cynical approach, should he use the threat of assisting the opposition as a bargaining chip in the ongoing attempt to prevent Iran from obtaining nuclear weapons?

What do you think about this?

Quote Of The Week

"To avoid any controversy and to satisfy this gentleman's concerns, the ornaments were removed,"

Jim Toomey, public information officer for Sonoma County, California

This was in response to a complaint from an atheist about an angel at the top of a Christmas tree in the county recorder's office.

At what point are we going to stop letting one individual like this dictate what the majority wants?

I can even go with banning prayer at county meetings, this is an overt endorsement of religion, but an angel on a Christmas tree?

We need to stop this insanity.

Remember Those Who Cannot Be Home This Christmas

I have to work this year on Christmas Eve and Christmas. I work 7:00 am to 7:00 pm so we get up early so we can have our Christmas before I go to work. My kids have grown up with my nontraditional schedule and are real good sports about it.

I of course was feeling sorry for myself and feeling bad for the kids the other day when a thought occurred to me - there are men and women in Iraq and Afghanistan and everywhere else the military sends them to protect us here at home.

I get to come home at the end of the day, me and the kids and my wife get to spend my days off during their school break together, I have nothing to complain about.

So this year let's remember the young men and women who don't get to come home for Christmas, the ones who never will again, and, most importantly, those at home spending Christmas without them.

Merry Christmas everyone from the Chuckthinks family

Decide: Pets Or Your SUV

Polluting pets: the devastating impact of man's best friend

PARIS (AFP) – Man's best friend could be one of the environment's worst enemies, according to a new study which says the carbon pawprint of a pet dog is more than double that of a gas-guzzling sports utility vehicle.

But the revelation in the book "Time to Eat the Dog: The Real Guide to Sustainable Living" by New Zealanders Robert and Brenda Vale has angered pet owners who feel they are being singled out as troublemakers.

The Vales, specialists in sustainable living at Victoria University of Wellington, analysed popular brands of pet food and calculated that a medium-sized dog eats around 164 kilos (360 pounds) of meat and 95 kilos of cereal a year.

Combine the land required to generate its food and a "medium" sized dog has an annual footprint of 0.84 hectares (2.07 acres) -- around twice the 0.41 hectares required by a 4x4 driving 10,000 kilometres (6,200 miles) a year, including energy to build the car.

To confirm the results, the New Scientist magazine asked John Barrett at the Stockholm Environment Institute in York, Britain, to calculate eco-pawprints based on his own data. The results were essentially the same.

"Owning a dog really is quite an extravagance, mainly because of the carbon footprint of meat," Barrett said.

Other animals aren't much better for the environment, the Vales say.

Cats have an eco-footprint of about 0.15 hectares, slightly less than driving a Volkswagen Golf for a year, while two hamsters equates to a plasma television and even the humble goldfish burns energy equivalent to two mobile telephones.

They would really not like me, we have 3 cats, a goldfish, and an SUV.

Basically though, this is just one more example of how silly global warming, and the entire ideology of the left for that matter, has gotten.

Finally, I'm not much of an animal person but this is just sick "Time to Eat the Dog: The Real Guide to Sustainable Living". Just more insanity from the left.

Hypocrisy, Thy Name Is Democrat

'My Congressman is Nuts dot com'

By: David Freddoso
Online Opinion Editor
10/29/09 5:11 PM EDT

For those following the extremely entertaining career of first term Rep. Alan Grayson, D-Fla., a seasoned Republican campaigner sends along the following:

Central Floridians today announced the launch of as a more appropriate alternative to was formed due to outrage and embarrassment within Central Florida over Alan Grayson’s liberal positions and childish approach in Washington, D.C.

Alan Grayson’s recent self indulgent behavior has paralyzed his ability to serve as an advocate for the citizens of Central Florida. He has alienated every Republican, as well as reasonable Democrats, by proclaiming Republicans wish for the sick to “die quickly,” and referring our health care system as a “Holocaust.” Grayson called a female governmental official, with whom he disagreed, a “whore” on a national radio program. Further he referred to Republicans as “knuckle dragging, knee dragging, Neanderthals.”

I just heard about this yesterday on Fox News.

The site is funny, check it out.

Seems the good Congressman is really pissed and is asking Attorney General Eric Holder to prosecute the author of this site for...something.

Evidently his one big beef is that she is not a constituent of his and is therefore committing fraud because she calls him "my Congressman".

As of right now there is no indication that he disputes her contention that he is nuts.

So the question is if the author of this website gets prosecuted (probably not likely) will Grayson be tried for calling Linda Robertson, an adviser to the Federal Reserve Chairman, a whore and be forced to prove she is? Don't hold your breath.

Finally, why is it that Democratic Congressmen and Senators have such a problem with women?

What Do You Think About This?

I heard a comment while watching Fox that made me think.

The discussion was about the Copenhagen conference and which countries would sign on to making cuts.

One of the threads of conversation was about Kyoto and the notion that developing countries like China and India would have been exempted.

There is a push now by large industrial countries to not give China and India these exemptions, make them follow the same rules as everyone else.

My belief all along has been that they should. In fact, this has been one of my biggest hang-ups about the Kyoto Protocol (one of many).

The comment made though is that China and India may believe that all of these industrial countries used carbon-emitting practices to build their industrial base and now want China and India to play by different rules in their development.

I found this a curious way to look at it.

Forgetting all other things about China and India, unfair pricing, unlevel playing field such as lower wages, etc, do they have a point?

Are the developed countries being arrogant in making these countries play by different rules or are these environmental rules a good way to level the playing field?

What do you think?

Quote Of The Week

Senator Charles Schumer (D, NY)

This was directed at a flight attendant who had the gall to ask him to follow the rules that rest of the common passengers were expected to follow.

There are 2 issues here.

First is the absolute arrogance of Congressional members.

He simply did not seem to think the rules applied to him. He was a United States Senator. Didn't the flight attendant know he was busy destroying the country?

This is not the first time we have seen this. More than that, it appears to happen more with the "out for the common man" Democrats.

The second issue is the way he demeaned this woman. It is amazing how often we see this from Democrats considering their strong stance on protecting women's rights.

In my opinion, liberals are far more disrespectful of women than conservatives.

Look at their history.

As much as conservatives despise Hillary Clinton, she saw a new low of vitriol when she was attacked by fellow Dems when she ran for President.

Her husband, Slick Willie, is possibly the most disrespectful President we have ever had in regards to women.

Look at how the left ridicules a woman who wants to stay home and raise her children. She's a simpleton, likely less intelligent, and nothing more than a tool for her husband to use.

Look at how the left treated the women that Bill Clinton was sexually harassing.

Then of course, we have Sarah Palin. I don't need to go there for the readers of this blog, we all know the Hell she was put through.

I think this one word spoke volumes not only for liberals but for Congressional members everywhere.

Let's See How This Plays Out

Democrats Descend Into Brawl Over Health Care

With just days remaining to prove that they can meet a self-imposed Christmas deadline and pass President Barack Obama's signature initiative through the Senate, Democrats seeking a rendezvous with history instead detoured to an intraparty brawl.

Majority Leader Harry Reid, D-Nev., was poised to release the latest version of the Senate legislation as early as Friday, but it was unclear what kind of reception he'd get. Labor leaders said the bill was soft on the insurance industry, and former party chairman Howard Dean said he'd vote against it if he were a senator.

All eyes were on the only known Democratic holdout, moderate Sen. Ben Nelson of Nebraska, whose primary concern is that abortion funding restrictions in the bill were too lax. Nelson indicated Thursday he still was not happy but would keep talking with Reid, who needs 60 votes to push through Republican opposition.
Liberals are furious over the compromises Reid had to make to keep the bill alive. Gone is a government insurance plan modeled on Medicare. So is the fallback, the option of allowing aging baby boomers to buy into Medicare. The major benefits of the bill won't start for three or four years, and then they'll be delivered through private insurance companies.
The AFL-CIO, the nation's largest labor federation, and the Service Employees International Union both expressed deep disappointment. The Senate bill includes a tax on high-cost insurance plans that unions fear will hurt their members.

This is the nightmare that won't end for Democrats.

The one saving grace they thought they had was that if they could not pass health care reform, they could dump the blame on Republicans.

Problem is they are their own worst enemy, and worse, it's a public fight.

Health care could be the final nail in their 2010 mid term election coffin.

The economy and deficit were going to be killers so I think a lot of the swing or right of center seats they hold were already gone.

With the health care debate though, there may not be a win salvageable.

They are publicly embarrassing themselves with the steady string of concessions and bribes for votes.

Now the bill they pass will be so devoid of far left causes they may lose their base. They will likely wind up with a bill that will not have either tax-payer funded abortions or a public option, the dual Holy Grails for the left.

There was great hope on the left that their time had finally come with both the most liberal President ever and the most far left Congressional leadership, at least in modern times.

This group can't pass abortion funding. They can't push through a takeover of health insurance. We will stay in Iraq for the foreseeable future. We are sending more troops to Afghanistan. We haven't taxed the rich into poverty yet. The Homeland Security Director is even starting to use the word terrorism again.

Imagine the disappointment.

The Dems could go to the polls next year with conservatives fired up, independents having lost any trust in both them and Obama, and the left being disappointed and deflated.

2010 may be a rough year for Dems.

Copenhagen Conferees Snowed In

From the LMAO Department:

Blizzard Dumps Snow on Copenhagen as Leaders Battle Warming

Dec. 17 (Bloomberg) -- World leaders flying into Copenhagen today to discuss a solution to global warming will first face freezing weather as a blizzard dumped 10 centimeters (4 inches) of snow on the Danish capital overnight.

“Temperatures will stay low at least the next three days,” Henning Gisseloe, an official at Denmark’s Meteorological Institute, said today by telephone, forecasting more snow in coming days. “There’s a good chance of a white Christmas.”

Delegates from 193 countries have been in Copenhagen since Dec. 7 to discuss how to fund global greenhouse gas emission cuts. U.S. President Barack Obama will arrive before the summit is scheduled to end tomorrow.

Denmark has a maritime climate and milder winters than its Scandinavian neighbors. It hasn’t had a white Christmas for 14 years, under the DMI’s definition, and only had seven last century. Temperatures today fell as low as minus 4 Celsius (25 Fahrenheit).

One Of My Favorite Commercials Ever

This is great. Tough hockey player, bloodied and bruised, taking time out to sing "itsy bitsy spider" to his daughter.

This reminds of a man who had a child in the same school as my boys when they were younger. My boys, when they were small, went to an inner city school. There was a real problem with parental involvement at this school. It was sad.

We had a man who was a young parent, I'm guessing maybe 20 years old? He always dressed in hip-hop clothes, had multiple tattoos, had multiple piercings, etc. He was the kind of guy that you would look at and automatically assume "loser".

This man was at the school every day when it let out picking up his son. He was not only there, he was "there". Him and his son would walk off talking animatedly about what the kid did in school, looking at his son's school work as they walked away. You could tell he was proud of his son and conveyed it to him.

My wife and I would talk about this and were always impressed with him.

He very well may have been a loser. He may still be. In my mind though, he appeared to be more of a parent than most other parents in the school.

I think the moral here is, as in the commercial, do not judge a book by it's cover. produced this commercial along with many more great ones. Visit them at, The Foundation For A Better Life.

Blago's Get Out Of Jail Free Card

Blagojevich's lawyers seek FBI interview with Obama

Rod Blagojevich's lawyers want the FBI to give up details of interviews conducted last year of President Obama, his chief of staff, Rahm Emanuel, White House adviser Valerie Jarrett and others as part of the investigation into the former governor

I'm not a lawyer, I'm human, but I think this is a stroke of genius on the part of the Blago legal team.

This forces the FBI (read White House) to decide how badly they want Blago. Do they want him bad enough to release these transcripts and at the very least embarrass Obama and team? The worst case scenario here is that Emanuel or someone else in the WH could be implicated.

In my mind Emanuel is up to his rear in this episode and he really does not want the transcripts released.

My suspicion is that if a judge rules in favor of the defense and orders the transcripts released Blago will all of a sudden get a sweetheart plea deal and be spared prison time.

What Do You Think About This?

Lawyer asks court to allow homeless with sex offenses to stay at shelters near schools after Grand Rapids man died in cold last winter

GRAND RAPIDS -- When Thomas Pauli froze to death early this year next to a car in an auto salvage yard, his friends were outraged that state law prevented the convicted sex offender from taking shelter at local missions.

Now, in the aftermath of the 52-year-old's death amid frigid temperatures, a move is under way to clarify a law that prohibits registered sex offenders from residing anywhere within 1,000 feet of a school or day care.

"No one, regardless of what they have done, deserves death on the street like that," said Miriam Aukerman, a Legal Aid of Western Michigan attorney taking up the legal battle on behalf of area homeless advocates.

Among the local agencies supporting the effort are: Mel Trotter and Degage ministries, the Servants Center, Salvation Army, Grand Rapids Area Coalition to End Homelessness, Guiding Light Mission and Bethlehem Lutheran Church.

Aukerman recently asked Michigan State Police Director Peter Munoz, whose agency oversees the state's Sex Offender Registry, to look at whether shelters should be considered the "residence" of a homeless person. Munoz declined to rule, saying the state police primarily only keeps the computerized database of offenders.

Aukerman now plans to ask a court to issue a decision.

I know where these missions are, they are mostly all within a 2 - 3 block radius of Catholic Central High School.

So what are your thoughts? What is the greater good here? Do we protect the children at the risk of letting a man freeze to death? Is there another solution? Is this more the result of a failed legal system that lets dangerous men back out on the street?

Quote Of The Week

"Instead of joining us on the right side of history, all the Republicans can come up with is, 'slow down, stop everything, let's start over.' If you think you've heard these same excuses before, you're right,"..."When this country belatedly recognized the wrongs of slavery, there were those who dug in their heels and said 'slow down, it's too early, things aren't bad enough.'"

Soon-to-be-former Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid

This comment spoke volumes on so many levels.

It shows the idiocy and sheer panic of Harry Reid.

It shows the hypocrisy of the left - the opposition to slavery was from the Democratic party, the Republicans freed the slaves in the form of Abraham Lincoln.

He then compounded the idiocy with this:

"When this body was on the verge of guaranteeing equal civil rights to everyone regardless of the color of their skin, some senators resorted to the same filibuster threats that we hear today."

He appeared to be referencing filibusters by Strom Thurmond in 1957, when he was a Democrat. To make this statement even more idiotic, 80% of the lawmakers opposing civil rights were Democrats.

As to hypocrisy, it also shows the willingness of the left (the party determined to stomp out racism wherever it is) to use racist statements whenever they suit their cause.

Finally it is further indictment of the media in this country that a member of the Senate feels comfortable enough making a statement as idiotic as this without any repercussions for the inaccuracy of the statement.

Is There Anyone On The Left Right Now That Is Not A Criminal?

Chamber of Commerce Raises 'Security' Concerns After Group Puts Bounty on CEO

The co-founder of the group that placed a bounty on the head of Chamber of Commerce CEO Tom Donohue has a rich criminal history covering everything from bombings to pot smuggling, a detail that a chamber official says raises serious security concerns for Donohue and others.

Velvet Revolution, a network of dozens of mostly liberal groups that formed in 2004, started an ad campaign this month offering $200,000 for information leading to the arrest and conviction of Donohue, whose business group has put up roadblocks to several planks of the Obama administration's domestic agenda.

The group, which is fishing for whistleblowers from Donohue's past, started the campaign in response to the chamber's opposition to climate change legislation and health care reform.

But a chamber representative said Thursday that the criminal history of the group's co-founder, Brett Kimberlin, raises red flags. The representative said that history "tends to discredit" the Velvet Revolution and that the chamber might be compelled to increase its own security in response to the ad campaign.

The only question that remains is how did this man get away from the Obama administration? One would think his criminal background would make him suitable for a czar position. The only thing I can guess is maybe he has paid his taxes?

Educating A New Generation Of Leftists

University of Minnesota Under Fire for Task Force's Discrimination-Based Teacher Education Plan

A branch of the University of Minnesota may require all education students at the school to understand and accept that they are either privileged or oppressed and that they be well-versed in issues like "white privilege," "institutional racism” and the "myth of meritocracy in the United States."

Understand what this means: they are teaching the teachers to teach far left ideals to our children. Anyone that says we are not trying to indoctrinate kids in public schools is full of it.

Not enough? Look at this.

Kids to Meet Marx in School – Care of Hollywood and The History Channel

Enter Howard Zinn – an author, professor and American historian – who, with the help of Hollywood and the History Channel, intends to change the way our pre-K through high school children learn American history. His current curriculum suggestions, like introducing three-year-olds to the lynching of African-Americans, or quizzing seven-year-olds on which Presidents owned slaves, should be a red flag to parents.

It's often the little noticed sentences that catch your eye:

Perhaps due to their one-sided perspective of America’s past, Zinn’s history books have largely been limited to colleges and universities, until now.

So we have Universities training future teachers to push far left ideals, with the assistance of this writer, and then him taking his ideals to the History channel. Nice. This will give the new teachers audio-visual aides in the indoctrination of our children.

The Vastness Of Space

This record-breaking object, known as JKCS041, is observed as it was when the Universe was just one quarter of its current age. X-rays from Chandra are displayed here as the diffuse blue region, while the individual galaxies in the cluster are seen in white in the Very Large Telescope's optical data, embedded in the X-ray emission.

To put this in perspective, the light we see from this galaxy was produced 10.5 billion years ago. Or, at the speed of light, it traveled 61,724,248,005,000,000,000,000 miles in that time.

Are All Liberal Men Sissies?

Man Arrested for Throwing Tomatoes at Sarah Palin, Police Say

A man was arrested for allegedly throwing two tomatoes at Sarah Palin from the second floor balcony during a book signing event at the Mall of America in Minnesota, reported

What is it with liberal men attacking women?

"Al Pieda" Targets Ann Coulter

Two men throw a cream pie at Ann Coulter

A man heckling First Lady Laura Bush and daughter Jenna outside the 92nd Street Y was arrested after he punched a wheelchair-bound girl whose parents has told him to shut up, authorities said yesterday. German Talis, 22, was shouting obscenities at the Bushes, who were leaving the building Tuesday, when he crossed paths with Wendy and John Lovetro and their daughter Maureen, 18, who has cerebral palsy.

Finally, can anyone give me a link to a story of a conservative man doing the same thing?

What Do You Think About This?

We all know about the Climategate scandal. We have all talked about the e-mails, data manipulation, shoddy science, etc.

The question this week is what do you think about the fact that the e-mails were hacked? They belonged to someone else and were stolen from them.

It is hard to argue that this is not theft.

The question is, is it justified? When is hacking justified? Is it okay to do it for the greater good?

So, is the person that did this a whistleblower or hacker?

Quote Of The Week

"It's totally inappropriate,"..."It's another instance of disrespect toward Christianity and another example of the kind of abuse that would never occur with any other major religion, because the outcry would be so immediate and so loud that the people behind it would immediately retreat."

Deal Hudson, publisher of

This was in response to an advertising campaign by PETA using a picture of former Playboy model Joanna Krupa posing nude with a large crucifix covering strategic parts of her body.

This is dead on. Let her take the picture with a Koran covering her crotch and there would be Hell to pay. More importantly we would have the little darlings out burning buildings and killing innocent people so that we will once and for all get it that they are a peace loving religion.

I'm getting sick to death of this bullshit.

A Nation That Fosters Wealth

"In America, it's not a sin to be rich nor is it a crime to die rich,"..."This bill gives our nation's wealthiest families the ability to know exactly what their obligation to the nation that fostered their wealth will be, and it is fair and it is just."

Rep. Jared Polis, D-Colo. in defense of making the death tax permanent.

Two things.

Rich people are not so because they worked hard or risked their capital, they are rich because their wealth was fostered by the US.

Since the nation fostered that wealth, "it is fair and it is just" to take that money from them for people who have not worked as hard. In fact, they have an "obligation" to give the money back.

Finally, you have to love this:

Majority Democrats argued that a permanent tax rate makes it easier for families and small business owners to do estate planning, noting that fewer than 1 percent of all estates are subject to the tax.

See, it's not punitive. They are trying to help people.

Welcome to the Socialists States of America.

Fringe Media Bias On Display - Again

Comedy Central Scoops Network News on Climate-Gate Scandal

ABC didn't cover it. CBS didn't either. And NBC apparently wouldn't go near it.

The network news broadcasts have ignored a growing scandal over evidence of a potential climate cover-up — and now they've even been scooped by the fake news at Comedy Central.

"The Daily Show with Jon Stewart" produced its "reporting" on Climate-gate Tuesday night, when Stewart quipped, “Poor Al Gore. Global warming completely debunked via the very Internet you invented. Oh, oh, the irony!”

Stewart described leaked e-mails from Britain's University of East Anglia, including one referring to a researcher's "trick" to "hide the decline" in some temperature readings in recent decades.

"It's just scientist-speak for using a standard statistical technique — recalibrating data – in order to trick you," Stewart said sarcastically.

Nearly two weeks since news broke of the e-mail scandal, climate change skeptics have gloated; a leading climate scientist has resigned; at least one U.S. lawmaker has called for an investigation, and countless prominent news outlets have deemed the story worthy of major reporting.

I thought this was particularly funny:

“Poor Al Gore. Global warming completely debunked via the very Internet you invented. Oh, oh, the irony!”

The article goes on to mention this posting from the Media Research Center

12 Days, 3 Networks and No Mention of ClimateGate Scandal

It’s been nearly two weeks since a scandal shook many people’s faith in the scientists behind global warming alarmism. The scandal forced the University of East Anglia (UK) to divulge that it threw away raw temperature data and prompted the temporary resignation of Phil Jones of the university’s Climate Research Unit.

Despite that resignation and calls by a U.S. senator to investigate the matter, ABC, CBS and NBC morning and evening news programming has remained silent – not mentioning a word about the scandal since it broke on Nov. 20, even as world leaders including President Barack Obama prepare to meet in Copenhagen, Denmark next week to promote a pact to reduce greenhouse gases.

Can the fringe media get anymore embarrassing? They have now been scooped by Jon Stewart.

Who's the joke now?

Dumbest Poll Ever?

Poll: Rush Most Influential Conservative

By a wide margin, Americans consider Rush Limbaugh the nation's most influential conservative voice.

Those are the results of a poll conducted by "60 Minutes" and Vanity Fair magazine and issued Sunday. The radio host was picked by 26 percent of those who responded, followed by Fox News Channel's Glenn Beck at 11 percent. Actual politicians - former Vice President Dick Cheney and former vice presidential candidate Sarah Palin - were the choice of 10 percent each.

This is the kicker:

The random national telephone sample of 855 adults was conducted by CBS News from Nov. 6-8. The margin for error is plus or minus three percentage points.

Keep in mind this is a CBS poll, but back to that in a minute.

Why would you poll all Americans to find out who the most influential conservative is? Wouldn't you maybe poll conservatives only? Why would anyone else have any insight, or any business for that matter, in determining who the most influential conservative is?

Now, as I said, this is done by CBS. To say their polls can have a little liberal bias is beyond ridiculous, they have a lot of liberal bias.

So we have a poll that is likely slanted to the left asking this question. Any guesses as to why? Could this perhaps be done solely to attempt to embarrass the right and push CBS' far left agenda.?

Naw, they're a news organization. They would have better standards than this. Right?
