For Sale: One Judgeship, Slightly Used

Obama Now Selling Judgeships for Health Care Votes?

Tonight, Barack Obama will host ten House Democrats who voted against the health care bill in November at the White House; he's obviously trying to persuade them to switch their votes to yes. One of the ten is Jim Matheson of Utah. The White House just sent out a press release announcing that today President Obama nominated Matheson's brother Scott M. Matheson, Jr. to the United States Court of Appeals for the Tenth Circuit.

I have no doubt this is merely a coincidence.

You'll know it's really, really just pure coincidence if Jim Matheson quietly folds and joins obama's side after this.

Nothing to see folks, it's all transparent, ethical and all that tripe.

Coincidence? NOT!

No coincidence. It is bribery, most foul! Standard operating procedure for BO and his Chicago thugs.

How sad it is that THIS is what we have come to expect from this Narcissistic Community Planner n Chief!!!! I cannot recall ever seeing so much corruption in one White House!

As Sunsett said, there are no coincidences in politics.

Especially dirty, Chicago politics!

I think the heading should read: "For Sale: One Judgeship, Slightly Tainted."

Actually I think this is an incredible mistake. Think about it for a minute. He has only nominated this man, which means he has to get him through the Senate. Imagine that scene. He is sending a nominee that has clearly been nominated to buy a vote, to the Senate where the Republicans then get to publicly comment on the nomination. This has the potential to backfire and COST them the health care vote

Ticker, right!

Cube, just another day

HAM, and to think, he's accomplished all of this in only one year

TC, I stand corrected

In a way, this is politics as usual.

Still, disgusting and potentially dangerous for the future of our nation.

AOW, I find nothing out of the ordinary for Obama. Bush didn't do this that I can remember. Mostly because he would have been ripped by the media, I don't think Chris Matthews has gotten to it yet
