How About Doing Something?

Mexican 'Assassin Teams' May Target U.S. Law Enforcement, DHS Warns

Law enforcement officers in west Texas are on guard following an alert issued by the Department of Homeland Security warning of retaliatory killings for a recent crackdown on the Barrio Azteca gang.

David Cuthbertson, special agent in charge of the FBI's El Paso division, said the paramilitary-style gang has an "open policy" to kill its rivals and may turn its sights toward local law enforcement officers.

"[They] are extremely cold-blooded and aggressive," Cuthbertson told "The killings are done really without thought and any kind of remorse."

Citing uncorroborated information, Homeland Security issued an Officer Safety Alert on March 22, advising lawmen in the El Paso sector to vary their routes to and from work and to wear body armor while on duty. The alert also suggested that officers' relatives pay closer attention to unusual activity in the area.

"The Barrio Azteca gang may issue a 'green light' authorizing the attempted murder of [law enforcement officers] in the El Paso area," the alert read. "Due to the threat, it is recommended that [law enforcement officers] take extra safety precautions."

I have an idea. Why doesn't DHS do something about this?

For decades we have sat around and pissed our pants in fear over Mexican drug gangs. Why haven't we done something about it? Send the military down there. Seal the border. Tell the Mexican government there is not another US dime for them until they clean up this mess.

I don't have all of the answers but we are paying a lot of people in the federal government to come up with ideas. Why aren't they? Are we at a place now with our government in which all they can do is issue warnings?

You will never become a good liberal if you don't dispense with this abundance of logic. You see, we mistreated the Mexicans whose land Texas was; accordingly, they are entitled to kill our law enforcement officers.

Well, we are patient. We know you'll come around one of these days.

Obama is making us safer .... Obama is making us safer ..... Obama is making us safer .... (keep repeating).

Mustang, I would have to be drug kicking and screaming into liberalism. I was raised by Democrats. Been there and done that.

Also, you forget that we are still discriminating against Mexicans because we expect them to follow the "white man's" law.

TC, I think you had a typo - isn't that supposed to be "Obama is making us suffer"?

I do not see anything wrong with a "smart bomb" or two............oh that's right, "O" more or less took that option away from us didn't he.
I think I will start repeating Miss T.C's mantra. It might make me relax and not care.

Because our government doesn't WANT to!

As I see it, the Dems want the immigrants, illegals, to come here, get amnesty, and be the Dems' voter base.

Furthermore, these illegal invaders are "taking down" the border states financially -- in effect, forcing those states to become more dependent on federal handouts.

Judging by the past actions of the obama administration on muslims, he'll probably tell them to target cubans or europeans, so as to address the problem of mexican killers.

Gramma, just drink the kool-aid. You'll be fine

AOW gets the cigar. It is all about selling the voter ranks. The problem is, Bush didn't do a hell of a lot about it either.

MK, kill two birds with one terrorist?

Now, we can't PERSECUTE anyone from Mexico... That would be racist and undermine the whole MexAmeriCanada thing.

you might not have all the answers but you sure do have good questions, Chuck.

TC's mantra: the new LEXIPRO! :-)

Brooke, agreed. We do need to show tolerance.

Z, thanks
