What Do You Think About This?

Comedy Central developing Jesus Christ cartoon

Comedy Central might censor every image of the Prophet Muhammad on "South Park," yet the network is developing a whole animated series around Jesus Christ.

As part of the network's upfront presentation to advertisers, Comedy Central is set to announce "JC," a half-hour show about Christ wanting to escape the shadow of his "powerful but apathetic father" and live a regular life in New York City.

What are your thoughts on this?

Is it time to go out and commit senseless violence in protestation of this depiction of Jesus? I mean, it's works for the Muzzies. Have a little riot protest, burn some buildings, kill a few people, and the rest of the world pisses it's pants and apologizes for bothering them.

Is it getting past time for conservatives to band together and start boycotting companies like this? Maybe companies and cities/states that boycott Arizona?

Comedy Central is staffed with cowards of the worst order. They haven't even let the latest bit of cartoonifada settle, and they have the gaul to do this... Of course, they know Christians won't be trying to shiv them to death or blow them up!

Certainly blasphemous, but the Muzzies also consider Issa (Jesus) a prophet who must not be blasphemed, but they are little less intolerant when it's Him.

Time to boycott sponsors of this BS. It has worked before and it dang sure can work again.

That's cowardly liberal scum for you Chuck, they can only muster the balls to attack the peaceful Christians.

This makes me so sad......just what our kids need, too, a chance to laugh at someone they ought to be admiring and in awe of.

This is how far our country's got.....and we'll do NOTHING. Trust me.
A boycott could never be big enough to matter, do you think?

If we threatened to kill those who insulted Jesus, they wouldn't be doing that, I assure you.

Brooke, agreed. It can be tough being the good guys.

Shoprat, too bad the people of Comedy Central had as much respect for Jesus as the Muzzies do

Ticker, I think conservatives need to develop a boycott network - most of us have money (you know, jobs)

MK, good point

Z, I believe a boycott would work. Not against Comedy Central - it's not likely the lion's share of their audience is conservative anyways. Against the sponsors though, that's a different matter.

Karen, agreed. The difference is though that Christianity, with a few exceptions throughout history, really is the religion of peace.

Well, Christians might be offended, but they also have a sense of humor (for the most part).

Also, we Christians know that at cartoon, no matter how satiric, doesn't curb the power of our God. Moslems, on the other hand, are always having to defend Allah and Mohammed the Pedophile.

AOW, interesting isn't it? Amazing they are always on the defensive.
