Need Another Reason To Vote Out The Dems?

"There is no question there is a concerted effort to make this a political issue by some. And I join those who have called for looking into how is this opposition to the mosque being funded," she said. "How is this being ginned up that here we are talking about Treasure Island, something we've been working on for decades, something of great interest to our community as we go forward to an election about the future of our country and two of the first three questions are about a zoning issue in New York City."

Nancy Pelosi (D-PRC*), soon to be ex-Speaker of the House

Audio from KCBS here.

We will dispense with the bit about the current Democratic leadership in the House and Senate and the White House being antagonistic to any sort of oppositional freedom of speech, that horse is long past dead.

What is interesting is the fear.

Obama stuck all of their feet in the fire when he came out and supported the WTC area mosque. Now, to make matters worse for Pelosi and company, Harry Reid went and bucked Obama and said the mosque should be moved. What is a poor girl to do?

The fact that she, after only 2 questions, went to the old Democratic party failsafe of investigating anyone who opposes them tells me that this is a winning issue for the right.

Hammer away at it. Make every Democrat running for office take a stand on it.

They will either answer in support of the mosque and put them on the wrong side of the issue as far as the public is concerned, come out against the mosque and create a public division in the Democratic Party, or refuse to answer and look weak and indecisive on the campaign trail.

It's a win-win-win for the GOP.

Now, the only questions is, will the GOP go for the win or once again play not to lose?

*People's Republic of California

How the OPPOSITION is being funded?!?

How about how the damn MOSQUE is being funded?!?

I think all of the botulism has soaked into her brain!

No dissent allowed. No questions. Otherwise, big brother is coming for you.

First Obama steps into it, then Pelosi makes it worse. I agree, Chuck, I want to know where every single dem stands on this issue. If the GOP doesn't demand this, then they're slower than I thought.

Whenever you have a lefty like Time magazine's Mike Halperin urging republicans not to make an issue out of something, you know that you've got them running scared.

Brooke is right about following the money behind the mosque builders and not the ones trying to prevent it. Shame on the useful tools that appease the islamofacists who are adept at playing our system like a violin.

Note: I just scanned the websites of CNN, MSNBC, ABC, CBS, Yahoo. Guess how many of them carried this story?

Brooke, in her twisted mind the opposition is more dangerous to the country than any Muslim group.

Cube, hold their feet to the fire

I was surprised that reid opposed it, but then i remembered the coming election. I guarantee he'll suck up to the muslims as soon as the election is over.

Yes, indeed.

I see now that Pelosi is also calling for an investigation in the funding behind the mosque. She's worried about the election in November and her own backside.

Harry Reid opposes the mosque.

Howard Dean opposes the mosque.

Obviously, BHO really did put his Party in a bad position. I love it!

AOW, I think it's only beginning. I think this may have the potential of not only hurting the Dims but also are making people look at Islam again

Pelosi is probably the most hated woman in America. She looks desperate as her poll numbers are in the dumpster & her speakership slipping away. She and the Lefties in the MSM are too stupid to know they're again going against the majority of the American people.

I hope & pray this majority comes out in Nov 2010 & 2012!

Gail, the Dems don't care what the majority want
