See Anything Wrong With This?

DOJ Gave Millions to Illegal Immigrant 'Sanctuaries,' Report Finds

The Department of Justice has spent tens of millions of dollars this year to compensate more than two dozen states, counties and cities for their costs of jailing illegal immigrants -- even though those communities have adopted policies that obstruct immigration enforcement, according to a recently released report.

Anyone want to take a guess at which party controls these governments?

In my mind this borders on criminal. But, then again, that's redundant when one is talking about the federal government.

I honestly don’t know why you’re always complaining, Chuck. We have plenty of money. If we run low, we just print more. It just doesn’t get any better than that … I’m beginning to think you’ve been spending too much time at Sunset’s blog.

Mustang, I sit corrected. What we can't afford to print we can borrow from China

Kind of like the woman who states to her husband that her checking account can't possibly be "overdrawn"!!! She still has plenty of checks in her checkbook!!!! Some people, especially those who don't work to earn money, have trouble with the concept. What does that tell us about "politicians" who promote the "spend as if it's there" policy??? Most have never done an honest day of real work in their miserable lives??? I think so...

Mustang, you must quit picking on poor Chuck. Nobody whines louder about these nematodes in Congress!

oooh, you published this story. I'm glad you did but it prompts my asking this question for the 10th time since dinner with a friend last night:

Does anybody hear the silence of their not talking about this situation and a hundred other serious things as loudly as I DO?

Are you surprised? It buys votes and as long as it buys votes neither side will do a dang thing about it.
Make DOJ account for every dime they are going to spend via an audit system. But then again Congress would just appoint those to the system that will allow such nonsense spending.
New Republicans had better take note and get off the pot or they will be going home in two years.

Chuck said...

Catherine, good analogy.

Z, agreed. Look at this in January when we are starting budget talks

Ticker, agreed. There are more Republicans right behind them to take their place.

And people wonder why Americans are sick to the back teeth of government fiddling and diddling.

The only thing that seems to happen when this occurs is lots of money is burned away and nothing gets any better, ever.
