I'm Shocked

Welfare Tab for Children of Illegal Immigrants Estimated at $600M in L.A. County

There is not much to add to this. California is broke and funding for illegal immigrants is a very large part of it.

Beyond that, I only have one more question. Why in God's name are we giving welfare to illegal immigrants?

Quite frankly if California is doing this, then let them go under. They, and any other state giving welfare benefits, college tuition, health care benefits, etc to illegals deserve what they get.

It may be surprising to those who don't live in the land of fruits and nuts - but those of us in the Golden State are numbed by the outrages carried out by the radical leftist agenda of the "progressives".

This kind of spending has been going on for a very, very long time—under both Democrat and Republican governors. The problem is that governors are far too political to veto communist legislation coming from other politicians who routinely sell their legislative support to the highest bidder. It isn’t just happening in California, either.

It appears that Montezuma's revenge is more than just dysentery from drinking the water.

LL, I would not be that surprised

Sam, I agree that this isn't as much party dependent. I think though it is ideologically dependent. Most Republican Governors that would go for this are RINOs

LA, nice

Unbelievable. The solution is to vote out of office anyone who would condone this policy. I know... easier said than done.

Only when they're broke, can't afford food, can't afford gas and living under the threat of rape and murder will the liberal retards of California learn.

Mind you once they get back on their feet and can afford food and such, they'll soon forget the lessons and get right back on the stupid ass that brought them their current wonderful utopia.

Gee, I wonder WHY CA is broke?

Cube, many will be gone

MK, they will simply let us pay for it and continue doing what they are doing

Karen, hmm...

Thus, my brother-in-law is now considering leaving California -- after living there for some 55 years. He sees no hope of California getting on a sound economic footing.
