Quote Of The Week

"Any responsible campaign would at the very least start asking around about potential challengers. In fact, this is exactly the kind of thing that the media should be doing right now,"..."Never has a field of presidential contenders gotten so little real scrutiny from the press corps."

Obama administration staffer.

I realize this is the dreaded "unnamed source" but it certainly sounds like a quote from one of the current White House denizens.

The funny thing is, they really do seem to believe it is the GOP candidates that get a pass from the media.

I think that it's a brilliant strategy... If we have 15 or 20 candidates, the dirt bags on the left will exhaust all their time and money digging for dirt and then when it's too late to do anything about it, we put Paul Ryan up as our nominee...

No one received less press scruitiny than Barack Obama.

Self-deception is a paradox, nevertheless it is every real and evident in many facets of social and political life. The example given here is one of many that demonstrates self-deception an operative condition of liberal Democrat thinking.

They gave Obama a pass, and any Democrat. They have no right to complain. Let's face it . . . we know every time a GOP candidate misspells a word in a personal letter. A Democrat could be caught red-handed in a felony and they would stick to their code of silence.

Brooke, more like SNAFU

Alligator, I think they really believe it

Shoprat, plus they wouldn't mention they are a Dem if they do report on it

Chuck, yes they do believe it.

Shoprat, Sandy Burglar Berger got caught with documents from the National Archives stuffed down his shorts and it got written off as a "mistake." I've been to the National Archives many times. There is absolutely no doubt in my mind that if I had been caught stuffing a document into my BVDs, I would have done at a minimum, 6 months to a year in federal lockup plus a fine of $5,000 or more. But Sandy was a former NSA to Clinton, he had friends in high places. And the MSM did its part for him: "Move along folks. Nothing to see here." One example among many.
