Quote Of The Week

It is ironic that someone whose claim to fame is fighting bullying would resort to bullying tactics in attacking high school students who were offended by his outrageous remarks.

Jimmy LaSalvia, executive director of GOProud

 Read the article.

This article is what LaSalvia was referring to.

 Anti-Bullying Speaker Curses Christian Teens

Read the second article, it gives the best background on what is happening here.

Basically the speaker was Dan Savage, an anti-bullying activist. He was speaking at the National High School Journalism Conference.

He was talking about the intolerance of Christians and attacking the bible. When he started his tirade a group of students from Christian schools stood and walked out. He then proceeded to attack and swear at them to cheers and howls of laughter from the audience.

I will say, liberals do love irony.

I can't say that I'm at all surprised by this! Liberals believe that speech is a one-way street, and are notoriously violent. Just look at all the crime at the occupoopers camps vs Tea Party rallies.

So, the anti-bullying activist bullied the audience and is a bigot, too.

Is there a stronger word than "irony" to use for this surreal scenario?

Brooke, agreed.

AOW, he's not an anti-bullying activist - he's just pushing an agenda.

I saw the video of this fellow and all i can say is, what a bigoted ass! Deriding Christian students simply because of who they are. Shame on this bigot and all those who clapped for him.

Good on those students, they did the right thing by walking out, that’s what you do to hate-filled bigots.

I also read a good comment elsewhere that this bigot wouldn’t have the balls to say the same thing about islam. You know the religion where gutless wonders like him are hanged from cranes. Mind you if he did, muslims would probably lynch him there on the stage.

Funny thing that this ignorant and ungrateful cur won’t get through his thick skull is that the only people who would defend him if that were to happen are the very Christians he derides and scorns.

There's another CHUCK leaving comments now...I thought it was you for a while, then realized it just didn't sound at all like you! On my top post.

I have seen this video and sent it to friends to show them the kids who walked out...that took courage and I was so proud of them.

The irony is breathtaking...he was SO rude and insulting and immature that you'd think SOME LIBERAL would see the irony, too...but, alas... !
Actually, I just read your comment to AOW...I thought he was an anti-bullying activist.

RWT's right...he'd have NEVER derided the koran or any muslim for female mutilation, honor killings, terrorism. no way

MK, it drips irony doesn't it?

Z, evidently it isn't bullying unless you are attacking gays.

Haven't you heard that free speech is only what's approved by the liberal left. Comon.
